Yes this is about Harry Potter if you hadn’t already guessed. My copy finally came in and I am flipping out!!! (Forgive my poor photography). I just realised I never properly expressed how much I was excited for this and to finally have it in my hands after all these months is unbelievable. An 8th story is something I never thought would ever happen and I’m pretty nervous about the whole script thing, I just hope it won’t be too wierd reading it in that format! I mean what if it ends up being horrible! What if J. K. Rowling messed everything up?! I guess I’ll just have to see!
Anyway later! I’m just going to go back to flailing around in excitement (I think people are starting to worry for sanity) Honestly if I didn’t have university classes I literally wouldn’t leave my room until I was done reading this. Gah I hope everyone is having a blast! Thanks for reading!
In honor of the upcoming fathers day this weeks Top 5 Wednesday topic is Favorite Literary Fathers/Father Figures! Top 5 Wednesday is a meme hosted by Samantha @ Thoughts on Tomes.
As we all know parents in YA fiction are rarely present and if by some miracle they are present it turns out that they are horrible to the heroes of the story. This weeks topic was a little bit of a challenge because of this but I still had fun going through all my books trying to remember which ones had amazing father figures. Anyway without further ado here are my favorite literally dads:
1. Alexander Walker: The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson.
I finished this book a few weeks ago and the story is still stuck with me because of the amazing father/daughter relationship Andie has with her father. I know the relationship started off rocky but it slowly grows into a really great relationship.

So for the last few days I’ve been in the world biggest blogging slump, all I could seem to do was watch YouTube covered in layers and layers of blankies because its soo freaking cold on my side of the world. Anyway while on booktube I discovered The Sims Book tag which was created by Hails Hearts Nyc and since it turns out that I love The Sims I decided to do this because it seemed like a really fun way to get out of my blogging slump. If you don’t play the sims you probably won’t get any of the references but I hope you still enjoy this post! Virtual high five to all Sims players reading this! Okay lets get started:
The original Sims – The best author debut.
I know there are some pretty awesome debuts out in the world but All The Bright Places is one of the best in my books. It completely shattered my heart and put it back together. I literally have no words to express how much this book means to me. I know people have issues with mental illness books but in my opinion this book dealt with it really well and thats an amazing feat for a debut author. Continue reading “The Sims Book Tag”
Another week, another T5W! Here I am with another T5W guys this weeks topic was a little challenging but I’m really excited to show you guys the Characters I’ve spent forever defending. 1. Tamlin: A Court of Mist and Fury
I know this book came out only a few weeks ago (don’t worry I won’t spoil anything) but after ACOMAF everyone is a little mad at Tamlin and I’m not one of those people. After everything that happened in the previous book his actions were pretty understandable in my eyes so I don’t know why everyone was tripping. All his actions were put under a microscope and cross-examined, it just wasn’t fair!
2. Harry Potter: The Harry Potter Series
I bet you’re like What?! Everyone loves Harry Potter! Why on earth would I need to defend him?! Well this is more of an IRL problem. I grew up in a very Christian community and I’ve spent a very long time defending my love of H.P. Continue reading “T5W #3: Characters I Defend”
