The Chainsmokers Book Tag!

Hey everyone! If you’re like me then you’ve been playing the new Chainsmokers/Coldplay collab (Something Just Like This) on repeat for the last couple days. That song is awesome guys,  I can’t seem to get them out of my head so I got inspired to do the Chainsmokers book tag. I wasn’t tagged to this but I’ve seen it floating out the blogosphere. This tag was created by Kat @ KatReadsALot.

  • Post a blog post or a video (YouTubers you are welcome to do this tag!)
  • You can copy the song lyrics so people can know where the questions are based on. For those without lyrics, we based it on the title. #Genius
  • Tag friends to do the post as well!
P.S. You don’t have to be tagged to do this tag! Just give it a try!

The Jingle Bell Book Tag!

The Jingle Bell Book Tag was created by Richard (The Humpo Show).

I wasn’t tagged to do this but I saw it over on Kai’s (Kai Attempts Book Blogging) blog and it looked too fun to pass up because Christmas is almost upon us so what better tag to do!

“All I Want For Christmas Is You” – What book do you want to see under the Christmas Tree?

Raven boys

If I could have the entire Raven Boys quartet (by Maggie Stiefvater) for Christmas I think I would explode. Everyone’s been raving about the series and I really want to find out what all the fuss is about. (If you’re reading this Herbert *wink, wink* (take the hint!!!))

“Simply Having A Wonderful Christmas Time”  What book that you have read this year have you enjoyed the most?

WHYYYY??? Why do you do this book blogosphere?! I thought we had an understanding. Choosing a favorite book of the year is like choosing a favorite body part 😰

Every Heart a Doorway

If I absolutely HAD to choose – I would say Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire, which surprisingly isn’t even a novel -it’s a short story.

ElfWhat book unleashes your inner child?

Obviously Harry Potter. I could go running around waving a stick and yelling PETRIFICUS TOTALLIS to unsuspecting family members and not feel an ounce of shame!

“It’s Beginning to look a lot like Christmas”Which book has most festive look to it?

What Light

Pretty unoriginal because it’s a Christmas themed book but I’m going with What Light by Jay Asher. Purrty right?!

The Grinch Your favourite villain…

I wrote an entire post where I listed my top 5 favorite villains if you’re interested. Jan Van Eck from the Six of Crows duology is hands down my favorite villain though.

The HolidayName your favourite TWO couples…

Feyre and Rhysand from the ACOTAR series (because Rhysand is bae and Feyre is basically chopped liver)

Kaz and Inej from Six of Crows (because they’re as thick as thieves (get it! Because they are theives!! *cackles*))

What book would you like to give as a present to your followers?

The Thousandth Floor

I wish I could give everybody a copy of The Thousandth Floor by Katharine McGhee because it is awesomeness in a single package.

I tag:

matxi_books (because YAY to new blogger friends!)

Marrill Collins (because YAY to old blogger friends!)

Crosstalk Book Tag

The Crosstalk book tag was created by someone I consider an awesome blogger and buddy; Jay Alonzo (A Lovelorn Virgo). Jay thanks for tagging me! This tag is based on the book Crosstalk by Connie Willis (which I haven’t read yet but tags are fun to do so what the heck I’m doing it!)

Jumping right in:

“IT DOESN’T WORK THAT WAY.” A book you can’t like no matter how much you want to.

Netgalley Book Tag

We all know and love netgalley so I figured this would be a fun little tag to do. Thanks you to Jay Alonzo @ A Lovelorn Virgo for tagging me forever ago. Better late than never right!

  • Link back to the tag’s creator (Kourtni Reads)
  • Thank and link back to the person who tagged you
  • Answer the questions the best you can. If you don’t use NetGalley, you can substitute other sites or places where you get books!
  • Tag a few people to do this too.

AUTO-APPROVED: Who’s one author whose books you automatically want to read, regardless of what they’re about?

Easily Sarah J. Maas! I could read her grocery list and still be entertained. Continue reading “Netgalley Book Tag”

Ruler of Books Tag!

I saw this book tag around booktube recently and it seemed really fun so I decided to do it! Lets just jump right in, if you were a ruler of books:

What book would you make everyone read

Oh this is so easy. Red Rising most definitely, because it’s my all time favorite book! I already spend my days shoving this into peoples faces so if I could somehow make reading this book mandatory I would!

You guys may not agree with me but I’m going to say dust jackets. You guys have no idea how much I loath dust jackets. The problem I have with them is that they’re soo pretty; that fact alone makes reading with them on so hard because I never wanna mess them up! Either way I always end up ripping them or losing them and every time one of those things happen a piece of my soul is shredded.

Totally Sarah J. Maas, the queen herself. I have never not loved any of her books so  if she ever wrote a book specifically for me I would die.

This one is tricky but I have to say Twilight, not because I hate it but because its one of the first physical books I ever bought for myself and I’ve had it for years and years so I think its time to let go you know.

I’m tempted to say Wink Poppy Midnight but then I saw this book and even though I’ve never read it the cover is just about the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. The cover artist Teagan White is a genius and I would totally commision her for a mural.

A Darker Shade final for Irene

Even though he does more harm than good most of the time, Kell definitely deserves the recognition that would come with his face on a coin. It would definitely cheer the guy up because he’s always so under-appreciated. I mean the guy is one of the last all powerful magicians the least I could do is put his face on a coin.

Ah this one is so hard because I’ve read so many great books in 2016. When I really think about it though only two books really shine through in my mind, these are Red Rising and A Court of Mist and Fury. Since I already used Red Rising at the beginning, the title for Ruler of Books 2016 is going to A Court of Mist and Fury! Sarah J. Maas absolutely slayed with this book so this shouldn’t be a shock…

That’s it! Thanks for reading as always! Happy reading!
