June Wrap Up!

Happy Friday Book Nation!

So I’m just getting back into the swing of things so I have little to actually recap in terms of blog posts for the month but I did read a ton of books and I’m really excited to share them with you. I’ll just jump right in because I’ve got nothing else to write in this intro.

March [2017] Wrap Up

I know its almost a full week into April but I’ve been so disappointed with my reading that I pushed this post as far back as I could. So in the month of March I read, wait for it… a total of two books which is a definite improvement over last months one (I didn’t even do a wrap up) if you noticed. Anyway I’ll quit my moping now and just get to the books:

January Wrap-Up

What up everyone!

I’ll jump right in: January was a complete and utter fail for me. I read like 2 books (which was really disappointing). I’m up to my eyeballs in university work and totally behind on reading review copies sent to me. So this is me taking a minute (and a long needed to break). Here’s the breakdown of my month:

what I hauled*

  1. Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin
  2. A Clash of Kings by George R. R. Martin
  3. Magnus Chase and the Hammer of Thor
  4. A Casual Vacancy by J. K. Rowling

Books I Received for Review:

  1. Making Faces by Amy Harmon (*squeal*)
  2. Heir of Thunder by Karissa Laurel

what I read*

  1. A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire #1) by George R. R. Martin – ★★★★★ – Full-review-coming (aka full fangirling coming).
  2. Fatal Heir by L.C. Ireland – ★★★★☆ – review here.

A to Z Book Tag

I don’t know who exactly created this tag but I saw it over on Enchanted by Books’s blog and immediately wanted to do it! I’ve seen a lot of A to Z tags but this one seemed unique enough so :

Author you’ve read the most books from:

Probably Sarah J. Maas, I’ve read every single one of her books so that’s about 7.

EDIT: Wait now that I think about it Rick Riordan takes the top spot; I’ve read all books in the Percy Jackson series, all in the Heroes of Olympus series, The Trials of Apollo and The Sword of Summer so 12 books in total!

Best Sequel Ever:

Hands down A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas. That ish was amazing!

Currently Reading:

A Game of Thrones (ASOIAF #1) by George R. R. Martin!!! I know! It’s about time…

Drink of Choice While Reading:

Chocolate milk #wut #don’tjudgeme

Ereader or Physical Book?

Definitely physical book but most of the time I use ebooks.

Fictional Character You Probably Would Have Actually Dated In High School:

Any boy from Morgan Matson’s books.

Glad You Gave This Book A Chance:

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Steig Larsson was a book I never thought I would enjoy. Shockingly it was one of my favourite books of 2016!

Hidden Gem Book:

Fatal Heir by L. C. Ireland. I wish everyone would read it!

Important Moment in your Reading Life:

Starting this blog. Discovering/reading a whole other world of books because of it.

Just Finished

Fatal Heir by L. C. Ireland…

Kinds of Books You Won’t Read:

This is a very personal choice, so no one mock me for it! I avoid books about angels and demons because they all tend to feel like a mockery of my religion/beliefs.

Longest Book You’ve Read:

The Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons it’s over 800 pages but was totally worth it!

Major book hangover because of:

The Female of the Species by Mindy McGinnis. This book had be thinking about nothing else for days. It’s really powerful.

Number of bookcases

Umm about three… Spread out across my devices (phone, laptop, tablet)

One Book You Have Read Multiple Times:

Delirium by Lauren Oliver. Its one of my favorite books of all time!

Preferred Place To Read:

Couch. Bed. The back of a goat. Doesn’t really matter to me

Quote that inspires you/gives you all the feels from a book you’ve read:

“Quiet people have the loudest
minds.” ― Stephen Hawking

Reading Regret:

Sticking to the same and not exposing myself to the rich diversity out in the world.

Series You Started And Need To Finish(all books are out in series):

Oh the shame! Lets see: The Darkest Mind Trilogy by Alexandra Bracken, The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare, Snow Like Ashes Trilogy by Sarah Raasch, The Young Elites Trilogy by Marie Lu, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Perculiar Children Trilogy, Red Rising Trilogy by Pierce Brown … I could go on forever.

Three of your All-Time Favorite Books:

  1. Red Rising by Pierce Brown
  2. Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire
  3. The Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons

Unapologetic Fangirl For:

Pierce Brown! That man is hotter than fiction😍🙈🙈

Very Excited For This Release More Than All The Others:

A Court of Wings and Ruin

A Court of Wings and Ruin by S. J. Maas, need I say more?

Worst Bookish Habit:

Squishing big books into small spaces and horribly denting the covers and pages.

X Marks The Spot: Start at the top left of your shelf and pick the 27th book:

On my digital shelf the 27th book is Winger by Andrew Smith.

Your latest book purchase:

A Clash of

A Clash of Kings by George R. R. Martin, I haven’t even finished the first book but I knew I had to have the second one on hand for when I did!

ZZZ-snatcher book (last book that kept you up WAY late):

The Thousandth Floor by Katharine McGee! That book had me hooked on all the juicy drama.

That’s it y’all! Not going to tag anyone because this tag seems to have been around forever but if you wanna do it go for it!

November ’16 Wrap-Up

Okay I seriously cannot deal with how fast the time is flying, I mean November is over already?!  This month I got sucked into the blackhole that is Pretty Little Liars (5 seasons in one month has to be some kind of record) so I’m pretty surprised that I read about 7 books this month.
