October ’16 || Wrap Up

Another month, another wrap up.

This month has been very anti-climatic for me. I’m on vacation from university (it’s summer break on my side of the world) and before I came back home I was like I’ll get so much reading done and I was feeling so hyped up but then I got home and only read like 4 books (one of them was a short story but who cares right). Honestly I’ve spent the whole month binge watching Outlander, Sillicon Valley (!!!) and the Bachelorette (I have NO shame). Anyway:

what I hauled*

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han
P.S. I Still Love You by Jenny Han
Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire
Kids of Appetite by David Arnold
Trials of Apollo: The Hidden Oracle by Rick Riordan
The Female of the Species by Mindy McGinnis – which I’m currently reading.

what I read*

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han – ★★★★☆
This was a re-read and somehow, I loved it even more than the first time I read it. Jenny Han is the queen of fun and playful and I love how her books are so big on family

P.S. I Still Love You by Jenny Han – ★★★★☆fullreview-to-come
Such an amazing continuation to the the first book. Lara Jean is the embodiment of teenage angst and every time I pick up these books I’m transported to a time when things were so easy, when boy trouble seemed like the end of the world.

The Hidden Oracle by Rick Riordan – ★★★★★review-to-come
Myth master Rick Riordan does it again. His books keep getting better and better and The Trials of Apollo just hit a new level of awsome. Such a fun read! Totally recommend!

Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire – ★★★★★review
I bet you guys are pretty tired of hearing me ainf this books praises. I literally can’t shut up about it. Great short story guys definitely recommend this one!

Every month I pick a favorite Book of the Month and this months goes to Every Heart a Doorway.

  1. OH MY GOD I’ve been watching tons of Bachelorette too, though the season has just ended in Australia. It’s such a guilty pleasure, though I get waaay too emotionally invested for my own good.

Glad to see that you enjoyed Jenny Han! That series is one of the fluffiest, cutest things I’ve ever head. 💗

    1. Me too! It’s such a guilty pleasure! I’m glad to find someone else who’s willing to admit they like the show! Have you read Jenny Han’s other books? I’m thinking of picking them up too…

      1. I’ve seen a couple of episodes! But I dunno, I’m not that into the US Bachelor so I don’t think I’ll pick it up. It’s like a time blackhole and I’m already real busy as it is. 😂 Which season of the Bachelorette were you binging?
