This is the end of my month long hiatus (Yay!). I just went through the most torturous month of exams and I’m honestly not entirely sure I came out in one piece. Engineering is brutal, I honestly don’t know why I put myself through all of it. (Oh wait yeah I do! Tech is my love!)
Let’s do some catching up. September was hella hectic for me I was so stressed and panicky over my exams and now that they’re done I feel so empty without all the anxious energy. Because of all the stress I did a surprisingly large amount of reading, it just calms me down like nothing else can, so here are the books I read this month!
- Empire of Storms by S. J. Maas
- The Light Between Oceans by M. L. Stedman
- Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern.
- Saint Anything by Sarah Dessen
- The Problem with Forever by Jennifer L. Armentrout
- Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare (is it weird that I read this before The Mortal Instruments?)
How did I read so much you ask? I’m horrible at prioritising. I mean I definitely pulled a Hermione on this one (I could fail my engineering course or worse fall behind on my reading!)
Overall it was a very dull month for me except for when I briefly lost my sanity after aquiring and reading Empire of Storms (Aelin was fire, you go girl!🔥🔥🔥 Though that ending was something else! I love S. J. Mass but I wanna kill her).
Ooooooh I almost forgot! I wanted to talk briefly about book blogging and what it means to me because recently an IRL acquaintance laughed his ass off when I told him I book blogged (firstly rude!) he thought it was the epitome of nerdy and honestly I just don’t care. I went through that shit in high school where I cared about what everyone thought about me and I just won’t let myself feel that way in university too. Book blogging is something to be proud of, I have a passion and I see nothing wrong with wanting to share it with other people. I will not be made to feel shame for doing something I love. I just hate when people belittle other people just because they have nothing better to do with their lives! I don’t want to go into full on rant mode so I think I’ll end it here. I’m just glad to be back, book blogging is so much fun!
