Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Thoughts on Tomes. Topics are set for every week so to join in on the fun just check out our goodreads group. This week’s topic is “Authors You Are Waiting on Another Book From.” This is an opportunity to give a shout out to some of your favorite authors who haven’t got any new books coming out anytime soon but you’re dying to have something – anything new written by them.
Anyway without further ado here are the authors I NEED new books from. You don’t even understand; if I heard even a whisper that the following authors were writing new books I would go BERSERK!
John Green (Author of The Fault in Our Stars)
Number one is of course going to be John Green, The King of Young Adult Contemporary Fiction, I’m dying to have another book by him, Its been what 4 years now?! Cumon John Green, write something new already!
Rainbow Rowell (Author of Fangirl)
More royalty guys, Rainbow Rowell is the queen of ya contemporary and to the best of my knowledge I understand she has no upcoming projects and that just kills me, I need more, more, more Rainbow Rowell!
Morgan Matson (Author of Since You’ve Been Gone)
If Rainbow Rowell is queen then I would say Morgan Matson is princess of contemporary ya fiction. Ever since I finished Unexpected Everything, I have been craving more of her work and as far as I’m aware she has no upcoming books.
Ransom Riggs (Author of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children)
I don’t know if this is cheating because I haven’t finished the Miss Peregrine series. I’ve only read the first books and really enjoyed it so I’m really curious to see what else Ransom Riggs would have to offer outside of this series. He has such an interesting writing style so I think I would really enjoy anything else he wrote.
Suzanne Collins (Author of The Hunger Games)
I think we all wholeheartedly agree with this one; Suzanne Collins NEEDS to write a new book. I know she announced that she’s starting a new project but didn’t say anything beyond that. Ugh it’s been years and years and I just want anything, even a grocery list from her!
(I couldn’t stop at just five):
These authors need to write more books asap because they can’t just write these masterpieces then leave us all hanging!
