Wrap Up | June 2016

Damn June’s over, Julying! (lol see what I did there?)

Anyway, doing wrap ups makes me wonder how time could fly by so fast. June was a pretty great month, I turned 19!! (the only downer was that I never got to see Me Before You because I was buried in school work 😪).

Anyway, I read a total of 3 books and listened to the Six of Crows audiobook.

Here is the list of books I read this month (click on the title to see my review of it):

Favorite book of the month was definitely Six of Crows!

So exactly a week ago from today was my 19th birthday! Of course this was the perfect excuse to receive/buy a shit ton of books and have no one judge me. Here is my June/Birthday book haul!

  • The Young Elites by Marie Lu
  • The Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan
  • The Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan
  • The House of Hades by Rick Riordan
  • The Blood of Olympus by Rick Riordan
  • Six of Crows audiobook
  • Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson (really excited to read this one!)
  • Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare (Shannon @ Clockwork Bibliophile‘s love for this series was the final push I needed to finally give this a try!)
  • Crimson Bound by Rosamund Hodge
  • Golden Son by Pierce Brown
  • And lastly The Winner’s Kiss by Marie Rutkoski.

Top 5 Wednesday is a meme I love to participate in every month. Here are the month’s T5W’s that I did:

Some other random posts I did:

Non Bookish Section:

The worst thing happened to me this month guys! Someone in one of my lecture groups at uni sent a mass email full of Game of Thrones spoilers. I mean the effort it must have required to ruin everyone’s GoT experience, I just can’t fathom it! I’m still at episode 7 of the show so I seriously want to murder whoever did this!

Anyway… I read Ruby Red a few months ago and really wanted to see the movie. It was a fun little movie, totally true to the book. I loved it! Other movies I saw this month were X-Men Apocalypse and The Conjuring 2 (if you want to keep sleeping, don’t watch this movie guys). Ohh I can’t wait to see The BFG this month (one of my favorite childhood books). Anyone else excited to see it too? Thanks for reading!
