WWW Wednesday – 30th March

WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words, its a great way to update you guys on my week in books.

To take part just answer the following:

  • what are you currently reading?
  • what did you recently finish?
  • what do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading?

I really wanted to dive back into the Percy Jackson/Greek Myth world and this book is a great way to do that, so far I’m loving it.

I received a copy of this book for review from the author and I’m only a few pages in but so far it’s really intriguing.

Recently Finished?

I finished two books this week the first was:

Air Awakens by Elise Kova (you check out my full review here) I really loved this, its such a great book set in a magical world where certain people can control the elements kinda like Avatar (The Last Airbender).

The second book I finished this week was Carry On by Rainbow Rowell. I didn’t know what to think when I started this book, firstly Rainbow Rowell and fantasy?! Not two things I thought would mix well together but I was in for such a pleasant surprise, this turned out to be a great read. Obviously in the beginning I kept picking out similarities between this story and Harry Potter but I just pushed it out of my mind and let myself enjoy the story (which I gave 4 out of 5 stars).

Reading Next?

I honestly have no idea what to read next, I’m thinking of re-reading Dorothy Must Die and The Wicked Will Rise because Yellow Brick War came out recently and I’ve been dying to read it but I need to refresh my mind on what happened in the previous books.

So yeah that’s my WWW Wednesday for this week. Thanks for reading!

      1. It’s not so much I’m comparing but more that I’m noticing more in HP. Mostly around the Harry staying with the Dursleys. Where are social services?? Why does Dumbledore let them treat him so horrendously?
