Tatiana and Alexander (The Bronze Horseman #2) by Paullina Simons

My Rating: 5 of 5 stars

Synopsis:

The synopsis of this book contains spoilers for the previous book so I’ll not be posting that, but you can check it out on goodreads!

Review:

So of course I’m giving this book a five out of five star rating, it was just as beautiful as the previous book (The Bronze Horseman). I absolutely love these books because of the powerful love-story between these two people and all the history surrounding them.

It’s amazing to read about the history of World War II from Tatiana and Alexander’s perspective. I don’t want to spoil much but all I can say is that the way these too suffered was heart-wrenching, I had thought after the previous book things would get better but nope, none of that happened, I feel like you forget this a fictional story because everything is just so realistic and heart breaking.

When I started reading this book, I was immediately sucked in and the story wouldn’t let me go every time I put the book down for silly things like food or sleep. It was all I could think about for days. The thing that drove me crazy about this book was the fact that I could kinda guess what the main character Tatiana would do but the other main character Alexander was the wild card, you could never guess what was going to happen to him. I loved how we got a more in-depth history of Alexander’s past that was definitely interesting to read about too.

There is this heart-breaking scene in the book when a character died and I was so sure I was not going to finish the book because I just couldn’t handle that one, I was in so much denial when reading that chapter. These books just make you so emotionally invested and you’re just a wreak (the good kind) when you’re done with them.

Lets talk about the history, since of  course this is a historical novel the facts are going to check out but the beauty of this book is that it captures the actual feelings of the people that went through the war and you get a small glimpse how people lived during this time, its amazing.

This book, just like the last one has been added to my all time favorites list, I totally loved it.

If you love historical romance give The Bronze Horseman trilogy a try, I highly recommend it!

Thanks for reading!
