Magic Study by Maria V. Snyder
My Rating: ★★★★1/5
Disclaimer: I will not be posting the summary of this book because it’s a sequels and contains spoilers for those that have not read Poison Study.
After reading Poison Study, I was dying to read Magic Study, but because I loved the first book so much I was kinda hesitant to read this one because I was afraid it wouldn’t be as good, but boy was I wrong! This book was amazing, I read it one sitting because I just couldn’t put it down.
In this book we read about Yelena’s struggle to fit in and master her magic while dealing with high school drama (even though it was a magic school) and powerful magical enemies.
I don’t want to spoil too much but this book was just as good as the first book and I’ve completely fallen in love with this series. I love books that challenge you to think and puzzle out problems. Just like the first book this one made me question every character’s intentions and suspect every character’s motives. It’s truly an amazing book with so many plot twist and action packed magical butt-kicking scenes.
One thing I loved about book 1 and book 2 is that the endings aren’t your perfect endings but they always end at a point where things are good for Yelena but you know that’s only temporary because she’s such a magnet for trouble. One thing I didn’t like about this book was how the author glossed over Yelena’s power’s but it didn’t bother me that much because I know it’ll be talked about more in the third book. I won’t be reading it next though because I’m trying to make the series last longer, I don’t want to leave this world behind yet.
Just like the last book I definitely recommend you pick up this awesome series because these books are amazing.
*Thanks for reading*
