November 9 by Colleen Hoover
My Rating: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
Fallon meets Ben, an aspiring novelist, the day before her scheduled cross-country move. Their untimely attraction leads them to spend Fallon’s last day in L.A. together, and her eventful life becomes the creative inspiration Ben has always sought for his novel. Over time and amidst the various relationships and tribulations of their own separate lives, they continue to meet on the same date every year. Until one day Fallon becomes unsure if Ben has been telling her the truth or fabricating a perfect reality for the sake of the ultimate plot twist.
I recently just jumped onto the Colleen Hoover band-wagon and I’m loving it, (4 out 5 stars for November 9)! So far I have read Ugly Love, Maybe Someday and this one. Her books are just amazing, if you have not read at least one Colleen Hoover book, what are you doing with your life?
Anyways I was looking for a short, feel-good book to help me get over my Bronze Horseman hangover and this book gave me so much more than that. Oh my Gosh Colleen Hoovers books (the ones I’ve read so far) make you feel so good… until she blindsides you with a sledgehammer to the heart and just wrecks your emotions, but it’s worth it. Her characters are as messed up as any of us (maybe even more), but that’s why we love ‘em.
Benton and Fallon’s relationship, all I can say is; the feels! This book was funny and sweet and painful with a major plot twist that just wrecks your emotions. The plot was really unique I wasn’t expecting it to go into the directions it went. The humor, the romance, the lies all made this an exceptional book to just dive into.
The good thing about this book is that it’s not a heavy read just 300+ pages but it packs a good punch, I read it all in one sitting. I recommend it if you’re looking for a light book that makes you feel a lot of emotion.
*Thanks for reading*
